About me

My name is long so just call me Cat. I've been designing user experiences for over three years, but the gamut of my design expertise spans decades. I thrived in the era of custom styling my Neopets' Petpages, Xanga blog and MySpace. My design choices have definitely (and hopefully) changed since then, but my desire for them to be at their highest quality has remained the same.

I'm a big fan of solving puzzles and the puzzle that is my journey to product design is no exception. While, at the time, I didn't know what the final picture of my career looked like, my past experiences have been pieces to frame it. It's kind of a long story, but it involves majoring in math, taking computer science classes, advising university students, assisting influencers, and managing social media accounts. I'd love to tell you more about my story if you'd like. ☺️

Being able to wrap my love for design, my knack for puzzles, and my advocacy for people into a gratifying career burrito has been a dream come true, but I'm not done dreaming; I want to continue building experiences that strives to solve problems and delight users.

Quick facts

  • I won $9.99 (in Nintendo credit) playing Tetris so I guess you can call me a professional gamer.
  • I've been a social media manager / assistant / multiple hat-wearer for a YouTube influencer with over 1.82M subscribers.
  • I once asked a couple of my peers what my superpower is and I received a resounding answer: empathy. It is a guiding principle that I not only use in my everyday life, but has also pushed me to be a designer.

If you happen to catch me off my laptop, I might be playing tennis or golf, watching a basketball game, singing karaoke, taking pictures with my phone, or befriending your pet.
